L. Thompson Optometrists has been delivering exceptional eye care to Congleton and surrounding communities since 1984. Initially located where Weatherspoons is now, we moved to 27 West Street in 1996 and expanded to 5 West Street in 2013. We are a family-run independent practice, committed to providing professional and personal customer service. In 1986, we opened a second practice in Kidsgrove. Lyn's daughter, Amy, joined us in 2006 as an ophthalmic optician. Our 2013 expansion equipped our premises with the latest technology, including the OCT machine. In 2018, we closed the Kidsgrove practice as Lyn began semi-retirement. Today, our services go beyond spectacles and contact lenses, including diabetic screening, glaucoma co-management, cataract referral, orthoptics, and children's eye care. Eye exams can reveal conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. The team at L. Thompson stays updated with all aspects of eye health.
